Our first Alumni Association meeting was an incredible success! The chance for students to reconnect with teachers from the 1980s and 90s must have been such a nostalgic and meaningful experience. The participation of over 500 students really highlights how much the school and its alumni mean to everyone.

It’s great to hear that the discussions around school empowerment were productive. The two points you mentioned are key for the future growth and development of the school. Let’s break them down a little more:

Regular newsletters: Sending out updates on school activities, achievements, and how alumni can contribute or stay engaged. It would keep everyone in the loop.
Alumni mentorship programs: Linking experienced professionals with current students or younger alumni could strengthen ties between generations and help guide those coming up after them.

School’s Important Needs Through Alumni Association (e.g., Support for Higher Studies)

Scholarship Funds: Setting up a scholarship fund through alumni donations could be a huge help for students pursuing higher education. Alumni could contribute based on their financial capacity or even create endowments in the name of certain batches or notable teachers.

Internship & Job Opportunities: Alumni can provide real-world opportunities for current students—whether it’s internships, job placements, or career advice. This also creates a stronger network for everyone involved.

Collaborative Projects: Alumni could work with the school on projects that involve skill-building or enhancing the school’s facilities. For example, if the school is lacking in certain areas, alumni could partner with the school to provide resources or expertise in specific fields.
